Better at what? Getting T boned at 100, NAPCAR bars. For a wheel to wheel car, these would be my choice. The nascar bars are out of plane and will require a double S bend or notching the B pillar and gutting the doors. You also don't get the torsional rigidity or the support at the A pillar bar like you do with a double x.
The double X is better from structural point of view. For a track day/HPDE car I would go this way.
Don't forget the FIA bar.
