      For Pete's Sake

I'm a newb to the pro-touring board but have owned quite a few different hot rods over the years. Mostly Chevelles but I've had others. I'm currently building a 1966 C10 that belonged to my grandfather. It was an old long bed farm truck but I found a SWB frame and the bed has been shortened. I got bit by the pro-touring bug at an American Street Car event in Nashville last year after a couple rides around the cones with a couple of the participants. I was fortunate enough to meet JB Grainger & Brian Finch a couple of Pro-touring veterans I know y'all know. They have both been helping me get this old truck up & rolling. It started life with a 250 Inline 6 and a 3 on the tree and now is packing an LS3 and a t56. Here are some pics of where the truck started and where it's at now. We are planning to unveil the truck at Holley LS Fest and then the truck is headed to SEMA in THE TMI Booth in preservation hall.

The rolling chassis is just about done. The body was blown apart and taken to media blast about two weeks ago. Cab rust and ding repairs are nearly finished. The body man is delivering the cab to Finch next week so he can get started on the cage.

The tonneau is made by Pro's Pick out of Canada. When the body work is all done and the body goes back on the frame I'll get some detailed pics of the hydraulic Rams that open the tonneau and how it all mounts.

The paint will be a satin pearl white. A custom color I'm calling "For Pete's Sake Pearl".

The firewall was extended for more leg room. Wilwood pedal assembly and Joes Racing accelerator pedal.

Getting the cockpit laid out. Brent made a recess for the seats in the panel under the glass. Only adds a little bit of space but looks way cool.

Nice. It is tough to find room in the cockpit with these old trucks.
