      Restore or custom frame?

So, I've discovered that my car will need:
      -both floor pans
      -right rear frame rail
      -driver side frame rail
      -pass side front frame extension
      -possibly radiator support

That is quite a bit of cutting out structural bits, and many many hours drilling out spot welds, chiseling old metal, and grinding/sanding the underside. I plan on the car being a nice HPDE car/autocross/daily drivable. Regardless of if I stay with the factory style unibody, or go with a frame, the suspension is getting a major overhaul. So the question is, should I just cut the body off and start with my own frame? I have years of working in a shop experience, plenty of mig welding experience, fabricated a turbo kit from scratch, but I'm doing this out of my 2 car garage. I found this thread: https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/...ustang-project which doesn't make it look too bad to throw together. My plan would probably involve corvette spindles/susp. up front, or if I get a wrecked coyote mustang maybe sticking with the mustang front suspension, rear probably a solid axle torque arm/panhard setup for simplicity. So, how much would I be getting myself into? Am I a fool for considering it?
