      Oldsmobile Carburetor Problems

Hi guys, I'm having a random stalling and carburetor problem. The engine is a 425 Oldsmobile Big Block, with an offenhauser dual quad intake and two 500 cfm edelbrock carburetors. When the car is at normal operating temperature (170-190F range) and I come to a complete stop, the car will occasionally stall. When I go to try and start it back up it will crank and crank and then spit fuel and smoke out of the top of both carburetors. The smoke is a clear/white and not black. Whenever this happens I push it off to the side of the road, pop the hood and turn on the electric fans. I wait around 10-15 minutes with the fans on and let the engine get to around 160 coolant temp, try and start it and it usually will start right up. Does any body know what problem this could be? Any help would be appreciated and any questions towards me I will be eager to answer and try to help.
      Thanks,
      Erik

fuel is getting to hot, check your lines to make sure you're not to close to a heat source. you can wrap the fuel lines with heat sheild if you can't move them, if you have headers you can try to wrap them to cool off the engine bay a little, and try a carb spacer, not metal, to space the carbs away from motor heat.
