Goodguys Indy 2015- RideTech Sponsor Report

      Goodguys Indy Nationals

Indianapolis..... Racing is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear that name. Whether it's the 400, 500, US Nationals or even the Grand Prix, Indy is known for speed. The Goodguys' autocross at the Indiana State Fairgrounds was no different this past weekend. The three-day event was split into two sessions allowing double the points and double the Pro Class and Shootout invitations. The entire weekend was full of great weather allowing for a ton of runs with the only interruption being the daily lunch breaks. Friday the course was technical with a lot of flying cones throughout the day. At the end of the first session, the man on top was Kyle Tucker who forfeited his win due to prior commitments. This moved Chris Smith and the 48 Hour Corvette up to 3rd place on the day. Bret Voelkel and Todd Green were doubling up in the 48 Hour Camaro and ended up in a respectable 6th and 8th place in the Pro Class Saturday morning. Saturday during the lunch break they made a few changes to the course as the standings board was wiped clean. The second session's competition was even stiffer than the first as the sun beat down on the track. Chris powered the 48 Hour Corvette into the 3rd position with Bret in 6th and Todd in 7th by the end of action Sunday. Todd's 7th Place finish also earned him theScottsdale Duel In The Desert invitation. As of this writing that puts Bret, Chris, & Todd all holding invitations for the
      Goodguys' November finals.
