      fuel tank

So I need a new gas tank as my strap broke and my aluminum tank fell out of my car.
I'm running a built LSA putting 600hp at the wheels
I looked at Ricks ($1500) in going to call DSE today. Any recommendations? Any info I should be aware of ?
      Thanks

Not sure on your vehicle type, but the Aeromotive Stealth is a nice setup as well.

The tank that came out was a custom build similar to ricks, I want to stray with the custom build. The aeromotive i saw was a stamped tank.

For your build level a Rick's tank with a CTS- fuel module or the DSE Supertank 1000 would be good choices. Both are vaporworx based designs that utilize electronic feedback system to control the fuel modules the same way the OE's do but much easier to install. That means only a single fuel line to the rail. No regulators, return lines, or external filters are needed. This also means low noise and extended pump life as well.

      fuel tank

I am learning more about this as I go. My old tank had the bypass and return etc... Does that just get removed? Do we run a new fuel line to the engine? Is the noise much different than the other setup? Looks like cost difference is about $700

I have a Ricks tank and the CTS V vaporworx pump and controller. They are great looking systems. I'm in the process of installing them both now but won't be using them for a while. Excellent support from Carl too.

With the vaporworx design no external regulator or return lines are used. Just a single line to the fuel rail. Since the VaporWorx design uses the GM fuel module, the tank must be able to accommodate it. Please see the lead photo here for what it should basically look like. http://vaporworx.com

A RetroWorx kit is also available to convert existing tanks. http://vaporworx.com/retroworx_kit.htm

The systems are so quiet that once the car is running the pump cannot be heard. It makes a similar amount of noise as the modern CTS-V and Gen5 Camaro, and the only time they can be heard is during initial key-on/prime before the engine is running.
