      Power steering lines

So ... I've finished making fuel and brake lines and I'm looking over my power steering setup. I need two lines (3/8" 6AN) that go from the servo to the hydraulic cylinder. I've got the tools and material to make stainless steel hardlines (with aluminum fittings) for that.

Any reason not to? SS hardlines can easily deal with 1500 psi, I'd guess. Will aluminum ferules and nuts be up to the task?

I have seen several cars done with hard line but with steel fittings......Should be OK with the hard line though!

      Dont use Aluminum fittings.

......and 1500psig is on the low side. You need to build the lines for 2000-2500psig. Even a simple bump in a turn can push the fluid pressure level way past 1500psig, not to mention having to deal with normal wheel loads while turning.

Now just imagine that at a higher speed.........
