      Final drive ratios

Using the formula: rear end gear ratio x transmission gear ratios.
My vehicles final drive ratios will be as follows.
      1st: 10.0716
      2nd: 6.0984
      3rd: 4.1272
      4th: 3.08
      5th: 2.0944

From what I have been reading a optimal first gear final drive ratio for a street performance vehicle is 10.1:1. Just curious if anyone could provide a little additional schooling on what to expect based on these numbers. I also realize that there are many other factors to take into account.

I am assuming this is a manual.
The .68 5th is going to be useless with 3.08's. Personally I'd go to a different 5th, but at least try a 3.31. My opinion. I don't like to be forced to downshift, don't like "lugging", and don't cruise at high speed on flatland, so YMMV.
