      Badges for SEMA?

I wanted to see how many of you already have yout badges for SEMA. I received an email stating they rec'd my application but this is not a confirmation of acceptance for SEMA, and I still need to get my plane ticket. Hence the little bit of urgency here for me. I have already missed getting tickets 21 days in advance, and seen my plane ticket price almost double ... But I have not seen anything else in email or in the mailbox.

Anybody else having this problem or did I do something wrong?

I'm exhibiting and we haven't received our badges yet. Furthermore, a friend who owns a speed shop and serves as a SEMA New Products judge had a difficult time getting passes for his employees. He kept saying "I'm a judge!" and they kept saying: "Doesn't matter" He had to show processed pay checks for each person--not just the usual business card.

Apparently the wheel & tire section (in particular) was overrun with riff-raff last year. These rowdy folks were more interested in meeting the latest DUB magazine celebrity that with buying product. Real buyers could not get anywhere near booths, so they complained. Getting in will be tough--unless you belong there.

If at all possible, get your badge mailed in advance.

      Sema badges

I too had problems with badges. They were requesting paychecks as proof. We were not able to register online due to the site being down(at that time) and the processing center that was hired to process people was not very helpful. All is golden now badges have arrived.

That worries me a bit. I'd like to get passes for my parents and one or two friends. Anyone have any advice?

I shouldn't have a problem, since I'm going with Jada Toys, but how many additional passes can I get? And can I get them at the will-call counter?

We haven't gotten ours yet either. I was going to wait a day or two and call someone, glad to hear (sorry?) that we aren't the only ones.

Thanks I will send them an email asking about my E-badges.. Hopefully all is good. I will be going with my dad's company. Raceamerica.com Should not be a problem, I have gone before but with the riff-raff I would understand it being more difficult..

THanks for the responses!!! I will email them and see what I get!

Correction: Our badges showed up tonight via UPS. However they came WITHOUT badge holders, so it is still--accordinng to the paperwork--necessary to show proof of ID and employment at the show.

Same here, but all you need at the show is photo ID and business card.
