      found a new shell!!!!

well....if you all do not know...I have been having a lot of problems with my 88 monte carlo ss recentlly...water leaks...rust..etc. So I have been looking for a new shell in good condition....and I finally found it!!!! It is an 87 SS with t-tops (im actually excited about the t-tops...what do you all think??)...no rust...and a solid body. So here is my list of "projects" for this car...

      1) swap in my 358 and tranny.
      2) coil overs for the fronts and cut springs in the rear
      3) notch the rear frame for big-ol-tires
      4) Billet Specialties rims...17's....most likelly the vintec's
      5) put in my non-a/c heater box...and smooth the firewall

I will let you know how the progress is coming along....we cant just have 67-69 camaro's on this board now can we???? lol

      Let's see, we are +1 g-body but -1 g-body You are not helping the g-body vs 1st gen cars.LOL
Plan sounds good, just leave the a/c. One day you will be old and fat like me and really appriciate the air......LOL
How much are you planning to notch the frame? I started to do that on my malibu and now wish I had.

well....the a/c will come later in the form of a vintage air system.......the frame notch has not been determined yet....the guy who is doing it for me hasnt quite filled me in on it. He did it to one other monte...to fit in some slicks...so we will see when the project starts.

on another note.....anyone know of any good (and cheap) artists to just get some rough sketches of my car done??

Very cool. Makes me think of the term: "Raising the Titanic" I'm sure you will benefit by having two cars to work with. Let's see some pix of the shell swap process. Can you still drive the "leaker" while you get the 2nd shell ready?
