So its been awhile so heres a quick update on the car. Finally decided to do a floater swap in the rear to fix the knockback problems and tho it did fix 90% of the problem I still have some knockback, But it is manageable! By doing that I had to re configure the Ride tech weld in 4link as well, and since moser does no make any 14'' rotor adapters/ caliper mounts I had to get creative.

So Wilwood sent me a old corvette rotor hat that I then bored out to fit over the floater hub. Then had to re drill the 5x5 pattern to mount on the hub. After that I used two small caliper tabs to template up one large one to make my caliper mounts. And finally I also had to center bore out my new BBS wheels to fit thru the floater snout... Little more work than I thought it would take but in the end I finally had brakes!

optima COTA was coming up fast and I knew I needed a 4th gear for the road course so I decided to drop in a 4l60e and TCI paddle shifters and ez tcu. Let me tell you their has been nothing easy about it. I went thru three sets of paddles since non of them were paired they wouldn't communicate. After that issue was fixed for some reason the TCU wasn't working properly so on the the second computer. Still having problems with missing second gear but I had enough of messing with it and optima was two days away.

So on testing the car the front tires corded... Really... So of course no one has or can get BF Goodrich Rival S tires so I was kinda screwed. Luckily one of my buddies had a spare set of 315 rivals and even tho I have never tried to mount 315's on the front of the car I said **** it and mounted them anyway. Sure enough They fit just fine!

Optima was a blast ended up 12th in GTL overall! 11th in speed stop 10th in autocross and 10th in road course. But man being on that road course was a blast! Then went on to CAM Challenge east and ended taking 5th in the Challenge! It has been a busy couple months but season isn't over yet! In a few weeks the car and myself will head out to the CAM Challenge Invitationals and the SCCA Nationals!

As for now I have some testing to do! I have noticed some outer wear on the front tires due to my front suspension being stock replacements. So Josh at ridetech recommended trying their front spindles to correct the 1970 geometry. Those come in next week and Ill be updating ya'll then!
