      Wedging subframe/body bushings

So I am going to make some solid subframe/body bushings out of aluminum. I have seen the GW and PTFB ones that wedge the body to lower the front end. The main reason I want to do this is because I like the stance of mine now but my header to ground clearance is minimal. By doing the wedge and putting some spacers under my front springs I can gain about an inch more of clearance and keep the stance.
I was planning on making a .5 inch one for the back bushings, .25 for the middle and then no bushing on the front. Any issues with doing this besides carb to hood clearance?
I think the standard ones are 1 inch for the back, .5 for middle and nothing on the front for wedge or .5 for all 3 to get a even .5 drop. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks in advance for any info!

Theoretically you could have some trans tunnel clearance issues too...that's all I've got for ya though...

Pardon my ignorance but how do you get the body panels to line up?

I thought about the trans tunnel clearance issue....thanks.

I have seen others online that have done it with the standard 1 inch rear, .5 inch middle and nothing at the core support and no body alignment issues. It does seem like it would cause some problems though.

It's going to reduce under hood clearance too. if you have a stock hood that might be an issue.
