      stock vs aftermarket spindles?

Okay so I'm redoing my entire front clip on my 71 camaro and that includes cleaning up the original spindles but I wanted to know if anyone would recommend a aftermarket spindle since I plan on using c6 z06 brakes and would I have no problem running the original but it being 40 plus years old and planning on running the car hard should I be concerned about anything happening to the spindle or am I just over thinking it? If I do keep the original spindle I plan to use the kore3 brackets.

Also what's everyone's opinion on the ccp spindle? And yes I know speed tech has a great aftermarket spindle but I will be using ride tech arms and I don't believe they will work.

ridetech makes a spindle that would compliment the control arms perfectly.

I too am looking at the 70-78 CPP spindle and hub, and I already have the Z06 calipers/rotors. I've been trying to determine for sure that they fit on these spindles, have you determined that they do?

In case you didn't know the spindles/hubs are $399 separate from their big brake kits...you have to call and ask for just those two items since they don't have it listed separately. Part # is 7081SH-K but the only troubling issue is they have a restocking fee of 20% if it didn't fit, or full store credit.

So I noticed Summit sells their stuff usually for a few bucks cheaper than CPP themselves, but they too don't list this kit...called Summit and they said they are going to add it into their system in an hour or so as part # CLP-7081SH-K and I'm curious first what their price will be, 2nd I assume their return policy is as follows:

"100% Satisfaction or Your Money Back. Guaranteed.

We do business based on a simple idea. If you're not 100% satisfied with our products, prices, or service, we'll give you your money back- guaranteed. Just return any new or unused part to us within 90 days from the date it was shipped to you, and we'll refund the full purchase price. We cannot accept returns on custom-ordered items. If you have questions, send us an e-mail or call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-230-3030. "

I personally have heard mostly good things about CPP parts, so I'm not worried about the quality as much...just wanted to be sure the Z06 stuff would fit since its a C6 setup, and they are C5 type spindles. But I have been told it fits.

from my understanding the c5 and c6 spindle is nearly identical and they have the same caliper mounting areas

I'm running the C5 set up from Kore3 with stock spindles. I took the spindles to the machine shop with the diagram provided by Kore3 and a day later and I think less than $50 they modified the spindle to fit the bracket perfectly. I spoke with Tobin a while back about upgrading to the C6 ZO6 set up and he said it should bolt up with the changes already made to the spindle. Also I bought ridetech front suspension but have yet to install.
