Preston, you can probably see from this that the top portion of the front cowl is extended. Also the side sill is extended 80mm (3.15 inches) with it curving around so that it goes just under the cage structure. In order to make it blend with the front and rear sections they were lowered and shaped. Hard to capture in individual pictures but you probably get the idea.

I really like the rear end. I'm not usually a fan of smoothing everything out and welding up the gap on removable panels (I like to see the separation lines) but that came out super nice. I've been kind of eyeing what I did back there and might move more in your direction that just looks killer.

here is my thread, the wide body stuff starts on post #39.

Thanks for the link. Awesome build and it looks fantastic. Great job. Pull a mould on that hood of yours and I'll buy one!

The cortex racing 66 coupe is cool but I think I like yours more. The widebody does really suit these cars.

Looks great. When we moulded mine, we remade the quarter extensions out of sheetmetal so that could be smoothed too. It's nice to see all the subtle changes that not everyone notices as well.

Hatchet job on diff, no idea why this was done by those I bought this from who ought to know better but it has been corrected.

At least with the diff out it allows some shots of how the cage and suspension tie in at the rear. You can see the fuel cell behind.

And some underneath shots, giving a good idea of how the side sill extensions tuck under and help give a nice flat bottom.

Last one. You can see where the mufflers are going to be tucked up into here.

      Great widening work, 10/10!!!

I think you should make moulds of those wide fenders/wings and doors.
