      '71 Chevelle Re-Power

Greetings all Im starting a thread on my LS swap. Ive had the car and enjoyed it since high school. It needed a lot of TLC but was a driver at that point. I spent every dime I made being a "pump jockey" on it for the first year. Paint and sheet metal in the first 3 months I had it. Less than a month out of the body shop the exhaust fell off driving it home from school. "Custom" 2 1/4inch exhaust and it was back on the road. Two months later it started missing and the warn out motor had the cam walking in it. I had a 350 .40 over build for it and that's what ive been driving since. Other than rebuilding the suspension with a 1 inch drop spring kit and a nice anniversary gift of wheels and tires.

Fast-forward almost 20 year an awesome wife, 3 kids, house, family farm and just life later...............dreams of what it could be.........no time........no money.........
"She Said DO IT already" and Im not looking back!

Im trying to find a set of long tube headers that will work well with the LS set up Im using the UMI 4008 motor mount kit and the Holey 302-2 oil pan. Ive been calling around trying to find specs and pics from companies. Id love to have something that fits tight w/out hanging below the frame that end up scraping every time you pull into a drive with a bad angle. Pictures and part numbers of what your running and works well would be great. Thanks

Ill count this day as victory after spending most of the day emailing and talking on the phone to distributors about the engine price. I found one that will be shipped to my door for $400 cheaper than Ive been able to find so far. LS3 480 will be on its way at the end of the week!! I need to have a good weekend of bolting parts on.
