      RideTech 48 Hour Corvette

Pro-Touring.com is proud to announce that we will be going live March 10th-13th at the ridetech 48 Hour Build Center to watch the unthinkable happen. It has been five years since ridetech proved they could build a Camaro in just 48 hours. RideTech felt it was time to take the success of the 48 Hour Camaro to the next level by building another car. This time they have chosen a 1972 Corvette. The car, purchased on eBay, will roll into RideTech March 10th and undergo a complete transformation in just 48 hours. After the three sixteen-hour workdays, the Corvette will be taken to the track and put to the test. The entire build will be streamed on YouTube, which will include manufacture Q&A segments and several interviews. We will also be covering the build here in this thread including photos, short video clips and answering any questions you might have regarding the build.

RideTech has included a direct link with all the information pertaining to the build: http://www.ridetech.com/48hourcorvette/

If there is anything you want us to feature or ask while at the RideTech facility, please feel free to comment below.

These corvettes have great weight distribution setting the motor back a few inches could give it 50/50 if you play your cards right

      RideTech 48 Hour Corvette Update

We are almost 8 hours into the 48 Hour Corvette build here at the ridetech Facility. They're hustling to get as much done before midnight. For those that do not know, the 48 hour build will be done over three days; 16 hours each day. Once midnight hits, the crew gets some rest before starting again at 8am. Though we go live at 8am, that doesn't mean we won't be here earlier. I heard some saying that they were here until late last night while others came in way before the Live Stream hit the internet this morning. There was a lot of prep that went into this build and it shows. The crew is definitely organized and went into this timed build with a plan. A lot has ben done to the car since we went live this morning. The motor was pulled early this morning, car was sanded, interior gutted, stock suspension out, rear end installed, etc. Here's some behind-the-scenes of this mornings events:

RideTech 48 Hour Corvette Update #2

      Quick update:

There are several key people that have come together to help with the ridetech 48 Hour Corvette. Here's handful of them
(Note: Most of these people either let me take their picture or I gave them no choice. Many are still missing. I have two more days to stalk them and post their mugshot on our forum. Beware...):

Bill Howell has been working all day to answer questions on the live chat feed

Of course nothing is possible without Bret and Chad

Mark Bowler from Bowler Performance Transmissions and Will Baty from Centerforce

Almost didn't recognize this guy. Not his usual scene, but we are glad to see him back at ridetech and part of this build.

Mike Copeland from Lingenfelter is also here

Tim Strange, Greg Schneider and Dan Ballard are some part of the main RideTech team managing the build

Gabi and Rick from Baer Brakes

      Jason Brady behind the scenes

Mac's brought some awesome products to help with the build

CustomImageCorvette.com has a full crew here working on the car

Rick Love of Vintage Air could be found around the Corvette throughout the day and on Camera

Michael Manning of Autowire was hard at work getting product ready for the build
