      calling all 3rd gen Monte owners....

      I'm looking for some info about the GM prototype aluminum hoods they made in 1976-77 or so for the then-upcoming 1978 body style. Does anybody have any info or leads on the details of it from either GM or Alcoa?

      I believe the deisel cars had aluminum hoods to offset the weight of the diesel package.
