      gear ratio question also

I have a 427 big block and I plan to go with a 700r4 trans. My rear is a 12 bolt with stock 3:55's.should I kept the 3:55's or go with 4:11? It isn't a drag car. I plan to have good suspension on it and it is a driver

Keep the 3.55, a 4.11 will be a pain at hiway speeds.

Unless you have really tall rear tires , I agree with JDMan!

I would keep the 3.55 gear for sure. A 4.11 gear combined with the first gear ratio of a 700 trans which I think is 3.06 will not make for a happy street combo.
