      1970 Ford Falcon project

Hey guys my name is Arnold. Recently I have picked up a 1970 Ford Falcon as a "little" project. I have yet to start any major work on it and work will be slow with my college student budget but i hope to get it roadworthy at least by next year.

Some things I have planned for it:
Drivetrain swap out of a 94-95 Mustang
Transmission, Rear End, including all or most of the wiring i can use.
Semi built 351w although I may stick with the 5.0 just to get it on the street
Budget Disc brake swap on all 4 corners, has drums at the moment.
315/35/17 tires mounted on 17x10.5 Fr500 wheels in the back
Possible home brew 4 link as budget allows.
5 speed swap again depending on budget.

The car itself is in decent shape. It has rust in all the common ford areas cowl area/drivers side floorboard.
I know this generation of Falcon doesn't have a huge backing but it shares just enough with the Mustang and Fairlane that I should be able to get something done.

Here's some picture of when I picked her up.

      How she sits now.

      I like it!

Seems like you have a reasonable plan of attack for the project too.

I went into my local hardware store this weekend and saw one of these finished in a metallic burgundy color. It was real sharp looking

Made my first big ( in my world) purchase. Going to be doing the Granada swap with a little twist. http://www.fordmuscleforums.com/brak...ng-falcon.html I'm not sure if links from other forums are allowed. Sorry if they aren't.
Going with my sort of budget I can't afford anything too fancy but I believe this swap will stop the car just fine.
