Feed fitting for corvette power steering pump.

I bought this pump thinking it was a corvette pump with the feed fitting but it was used on a f-body setup. I am using the holley bracket which calls for a corvette setup. Is there anyway to get one of these fittings? Anyone threaded the input and use a AN setup?

That looks like the fitting where the fluid enters the pump from the reservoir.

Yeah thats what it is. On the f-body setup the resi mounts right to the pump and on the corvette it uses a hose to connect. Im trying to figure out if there is a way to add or or if I just need to get a new pump.

With the Holley and the Corvete setup the PS reservoir is mounted just above the pump and is gravity fed to that fitting with a short hose. No need for AN fittings because that is a low pressure line.

I have an extra C5 pump, shaft seal started seeping after about 3 hours of run time. You can order the seal through rock auto for about $5. if you want it, just pay for shipping.

When I put the LS6 in my 68 Chevelle I had the same problem trying to use a non C5 pump because the pulley I wanted to use had a different diameter shaft. I used a pump off from a 95 V6 Camaro and just cut the feed tube down to fit with my Corvette tank. My pulley was smaller for steering box clearance plus it made my pump spin faster with my under-drive crank pulley.

Have you mounted the pump body into the bracket. I ran into the same problem and thought all I needed was a remote reservoir however when I mounted the body it clashed with the bracket and some of the mounting bolts.

Do yourself a favor and just get a pump from a Corvette. I went through this problem and ended up notching the bracket out for the pump to sit flat on the back of the bracket, and then ended up grinding the head of that bolt down. And it still barely fit. 4 months later the pump gave out.

So I tried finding one local to get to a car show that weekend, nobody had one. Searched for the correct Corvette one and found one an hour away from my parents house. Grabbed it and put it on, clears the bracket and bolt by miles, and has that 45° fitting on it already.

The difference is the Corvette is aluminum and the F body is cast iron. Not sure why they are so different in size but they just are.

You could probably find one on rockauto for a pretty good price if you aren't in a huge rush.

I've done this dance before, save yourself the headache and buy a corvette pump. It'll never work with an f-body pump
