      Schwartz Performance Shop Updates

      Hey all,

We at Schwartz Performance have a lot of stuff going on, always. A year ago or more we started doing monthly shop updates to keep everyone in-tune with our projects & events.
Not sure why we haven't posted these earlier, but it's just about a new year, so it's a good time to start!

Mods: if this is better suited in the Project Update section, please move.

      ENJOY!!

I was hoping that S-10 would have AWD from a Sy / Ty / Bravado. Still some very nice projects and I'd be proud to have my car in the shop.

Lol that'd be cool. Surprising how little space exists in these trucks. They're a foot narrower than a Chevelle.

Size: 216.8 KBI'm in the process of fabricating an custom dash for our 71 Cutlass Supreme, but I not sure how to transfer the VIN plate. It's not located on the edge but rather a few inches in. On your custom S-10 custom dash, how do you transfer the VIN plate from the original? I'm just concerning about eventual inspection and licensing.

Technically... tampering with the VIN is illegal. The S10 vin attaches to the windshield pinch weld, and is not affected with the dash. Your best bet is to cut around the VIN tag. Even if you leave an inch around the original VIN tag and weld to it, shouldn't have a problem. We've also done custom dashes with a "skin" over top of it.. so the new dash is on top of the old one, but there's an access hole to view the tag.
