      1972 Pontiac LeMans

I have a 1972 Pontiac LeMans 2 door post which I am building a 468 stroker for. The current build sheet is ported KRE aluminum D-port heads, a currie 9" rear with 3.50 gears, rebuild the TH-400 and add a gear vendors overdrive. Then after that comes the suspension, just looking for a mild pro-touring suspension. Something to help keep the car planted to the ground and help put the power to the ground when needed. Body: The paint is an old black with red metal flake. It turns out well in pictures but is a 15 footer. Not much wrong with the body overall just a little alignment of the bumpers would fix most of it. Engine: 468 Stroker Fully Forged Bottom end Going with a Comp XR288HR grind 87 CC heads March serpentine belt conversion No A/C Power Steering Edelbrock intake Doug longtubes MSD Distributor MSD wires MSD coil Ceramic coated headers and intake Quick fuel 850 carb Trans: TCI TH-400 Rear: Currently a 10 bolt with 4.10 gears Suspension: Stock Interior: What is there is stock Some back story: I bought the car in march of 2014 and enjoyed for a month when I blew 2 connecting rods. It was a 461 stroker from a 400 block. It is lowered 2"s all. Here is a link to my project. The shop I left it with posts pictures as they update it. I wish I were home to do the work myself but unfortunately I'm floating in the Arabian Gulf. http://outlaws.smugmug.com/Customer-...72-LeMans-Kyle

      Nice!

I think Iv'e talked to you a little bit on a Poncho FB page recently? Well anyhow welcome to PT.com. Best resource on the internet for making these old boats handle well. If you're not already a member, try Performanceyears.com for anything traditionally "Pontiac" related. That place will be your best bet for stock/NOS resto parts and Poncho performance engine build info. Keep us updated!

Thanks, I've pretty much got my drivetrain figured out just looking for info on brakes and suspension. My chief keeps asking for updates and saying it's going to be a beast. I can't wait to get back stateside and finally drive it again.
