86 Monte SS all stock

I am new to this site and have 86 Monte Carlo SS. My parents bought the car new and instead of letting it be traded in I purchased it.
The car is 100% stock 70K on odometer .



I like the car but would like to improve the handling , to start .

Lowering and new tires are my thoughts .
I also would like to keep the original SS rims and a match set of tires if that is possible and get the better handling.
I noticed slightly larger rears on some of the cars .
In RI the roads tend to rough in areas so that is also a factor .

Welcome... I'm a fan of the Monte Carlo SS as well. There are a lot of ways to improve the handling of your car while not detracting from the driveability of it at the same time. Many of us here have accomplished just that are are very willing to help others learn the ins and outs while avoiding the pitfalls of wrong decisions.
