      Ideas for project on budget?

I am wanting to build a pro touring muscle to beat on ricers in my town. I want a car from 60s to 70s, short wheel base, light and fun to drive. I need ideas what to look for like from gm,ford, and mopar. Could you give a list of cars to start

Whats your budget for acquiring the car/truck/wagon?
What are you most comfortable with out of those brands you listed?

      1967 Turbocharged 408ci LSx Chevelle - 1012 rwhp, 959 rwtq 67 Chevelle

Falcons, Corvairs, Monzas and Mavericks are relatively cheap and fit your criteria. Not the most sexy beast on the block but it fits all your criteria.

Perhaps a beat on truck but good luck getting a shortbed for any reasonable price.

      Hope those suggestions help.
