need help/information from others that used brphotrods ls swap kit

Looking for some information from other users that have used brphotrods ls swap kit on their first gen camaro/third gen nova. What did you use for headers, size, length, and any issues?

I know that they recomend their brand of musclerod headers made by husler but im having a hard time swallowing the $900 cost of them especially looking at all of the different brands just on summits website for a good chunk cheaper.

I know that engine mounts and placement make all the difference on what fits and what doesnt so im hoping somebody else has already done some expirementing and found another combination.

Going in a 71 nova with a lq4 and t56. Lq4 has 799 heads, custom ground cam, ls6 intake, etc on it/in it. Already have the brp kit and mocked up with it so would preferably stay with it.

Those mounts place the engine quite a bit higher than most other mounts if I remember right. That will make it difficult for other headers to fit.

Look at the Holley swap parts. They are engineered and made well. Hooker makes headers to match.

Yeah it is pretty high but i dont have others to compare it to.

Already have the brp kit and mocked up for it other than headers. Wish i would have went with different kit for other reasons than headers though.

Having the engine higher than absolutely necessary does bad things for the driveline angles, especially if you plan on lowering the rear suspension, which I am assuming you will.

Been thinking and looking at the Holley swap parts myself for a 67 camaro. Can the Holley swap parts be used on a ridetech Tru Turn system with a 600 steering box?

I will try and post a pic later of how high the mounts are.

I'm going to swap out (sorry) the BRP motor mounts and switch to the Holley setup on one of my customer's cars. If you are just starting your project, take a deep breath and move to a properly engineered setup.
