I would personally ditch the Fram oil filter out of paranoia.

That is going to be a fun little rocket! My brother is a Mustang guy and I think he would flip of he saw this. I have been thinking about that motor for my '78 F-150. currently has a 460 but at 9-11 mpg gotta think about the coyote. I have no experience around one but hear they get with it in a big way, and then you add the help to yours... Ya buddy hope you have stock in your favorite tire company. Looks good!!

I think a Coyote swap in your 78 F-150 would be awesome!! I have a few sets of used tires I'm gonna cook before I put the good ones on! LOL....
      Thanks for the good comments!

So I threw the fenders and hood on for one last time before pulling it all apart for touch up and final assembly, and for some strange reason I had the crazy idea that the hood would clear the blower??
Well, I guess its time to shop for a raised hood??

Nice build! I wonder if the center section of a newer gt500 would give you enough clearance?

That would look awesome if it does. Hopefully I can dig up some pics to get a few ideas?

I got the trans mounted to the engine. Now, I'm in the middle of making a crossmember for it. I should be able to finish mock up, weld it together, and then bolt it back in!

Haven't been making much progress on her lately, but starting to pick back up. I was able to get the computer mounted, make the Heat Exchanger brackets, installed oil catch can, installed new rear end pinion yoke, finished mocking the Trans cross member, and my custom Aluminum driveshaft (1350's at both ends!) came in yesterday. I am also working on fabricating a heat shield/cover for the computer wire harness. Lastly, I mocked up a 18x11 rear wheel with a 295 tire to check for clearance and it looks like I have plenty of room for 315's.

Headers, Subframe connectors, Steering Column, and seat brackets are up next!!

      Great project fella!
      I'm following!
Good luck with the hood clearance! I have to heavily modify mine to fit hi rised intake.

Subscribed... quick question, is there a size difference in the Coyote motor vs the GT 500 5.8? Watching you both (you and dalpilot) I'm gonna go one or the other.. cost wise the Coyote is cheaper. Also what tranny is that? Is it from a 2003/4 cobra? I noticed it doesn't have the remote linkage like the new 5.0 trannys
