      87' Monte Carlo SS Build

Here I found a 87' Monte Carlo SS for a decent price. The story on this car was the previous owners wife hit a deer with the car. He started to repair it and gave up on it. So it sat in the mud next to the barn for 5 years. My plan is to do some body mods, custom wheels, and install a twin turbo LS drivetrain.

Here we started stripping the car and inspecting the damage. Thats what sitting in the mud will do.

Here we started doing repairs and more repairs after finding more damage. With T-tops you can be ready to do some repairs at the roof.

Great to see another G body coming back from the dead. How the frame? They are known to rot.

Frame looked good. We started stripping front of frame and worked our way back.

Here we installed a Frame Notch Kit, Rear Disc Brakes and other goodies on the suspension. We also stripped the frame and floor boards and repainted.

I came up with a design for my wheels. Showwheels USA built them. Going with a 335/30/ZR18 18x12 in the rear and a 265/35/ZR18 18x10 in the front. Using Toyo Proxes R888 tires.

Got the tires mounted. Now for a trial fit. By the way, the wheels are Uni directional. The tires stuck out from the wheel well a little. So we have a fix for that.

I was going to install a billet grille on my Monte SS. But since we did all this custom work to it, why not do a custom made grille?

I believe it's ABS plastic. I found it on Ebay. It comes in a 47x15" sheet. Item# 400763691082
