      pump for convertibile top

after installing a new wiring harness in my 68 I noticed I still have the orginal pump that drives my convertible top. Before I put my interior back in the car should I do anything to the pump or the lines ? It was working before I started this project but I've never been down this road before and I'm thinking I should replace it or rebuild it while its apart ???

Buy a seal kit for it and replace all the seals, its not too difficult and pretty cheap. then make sure you bleed the lines pump and cylinders or your top wont go up.

I would also suggest buying a new line kit.

IF your current lines are original they are very old and brittle.

      $100.00 to peace of mind.
