      Soooo tempted...

...to give my truck a mild P-T/G-machine treatment. Bell Tech has a 3-inch lowering kit. The 4wd transfer box can be swapped out for a Typhoon/Syclone style awd unit. I have room for WIDE low profile rubber, which would also clear the way for bigger rotors, etc. Not sure what I would do to the 4.3, because it want to to get decent gas mileage. Sometimes, I wish I could just do "normal" things - JUST KIDDING!!! That would kill me

I wish we could all just call ourselves normal. This modding bug is worse then any drug known to man.

I wanted to do something of that sort with my F-150, but I decided that it will stay stock.... Some how it still is LOL!

I say go for it since it'll make the truck more fun to drive. I have a 97 GMC K1500 I bought new, paid off and was just thinking how boring it is to drive. Hmmmm - supercharger, big brakes and new wheel/tire package. Time to take some aspirin for this fever!

Hmmm..... Todd, do you need any help in the form of peer pressure? I say do it to it. I mean, what could it hurt? Besides, it might make you cool again... Well, for once, at least.

dropped my silverado (daily driver), looks great but the 3/4 drop for a daily driver has its pitfalls, had to install air shocks for towing only (dual shock) seems to eat ball joints @ 30 K, on second set just ordered a third set. mechanical stock so far need an open air k&n.

Of course you guys would say go for it - your brainwaves are stuck in the twisties :rolleyes5 Just kidding, the more I think about it, the more I like it. It's just so easy - if I can stick to the mild, simple theme - which is a monumental task for me.

I have a set of C5 rotors which would go nice with 4th-gen F-body calipers. 4wd Blazers have hubs (interchangeable with C4 Vette) up front so all that should be needed is some custom brackets on each corner. I would probably go with really wide 17's and sport truck performance radials (to get the overall height needed to match the body). A very simple, but effective, approach. The only drawback is I would have a lot of negative offset (wheels). I want to just accept that as a fact of life with the truck, because correcting it makes me think about longer control arms, improved geometry, etc. Once you make that step things tend to spiral out of control - at least in my world.

Right now, I can't wait to see what it feels like on the street. On the G-body chassis, it felt really unique on the street. Kind of like an oversized kid's toy. Should have it moving under its own power next week.

I could not help but...... when I saw this pic. Reminds me of how I pulled the majority of the engines before I got my garage. For some reason the ladder next to it just got me lauging.

Hey Todd! Get that thing a few more feet off the ground and you'd have yourself a decent deer blind...
