      Tank vent problems

I have the full vaporworks setup, Rick's tank, ZL1 pump and pwm controller. I have the ridetech cap and filler neck and Brian Finch's overflow tank. The problem is that the overflow just fills up and pukes fuel anyway. I also filled the tank at the gas station for the first time yesterday and it would only fill for 1 or 2 seconds at a time before kicking off the pump. I know the cap isn't vented and I plugged the hole in the filler neck. The overflow is mounted in the trunk so it's higher than the tank. What am I missing? Is the -6 female port on the front of the tank not meant to be the vent? Do I need to add a second vent?

I'll tell you what...I talked to Carl at vaporworks for a while and he suggested I talk to Hector at Rick's.
Hector asked me to try a couple of things which didn't seem to make much of a difference so he volunteered to build me a new tank and send it out so he could have mine back to look at.
Now that's customer service right there.

If anyone needs a fuel tank these are definitely the guys to talk to.

Hector said it will be a week to 10 days for the tank.
I'll let you know how this works out.

Please let us know what Hector finds out. I've got a very similar system going into my 68 Camaro sometime in the next few weeks and I'm still trying to figure out the venting.

      Thanks,
      Jim
