Car Clubs....

Ok guys, who here is part of a car club? A couple friends and I are considering putting one together but would like some info, ideas etc etc.
We would like specific or general info, anything anyone would like to share would be great.
There are a couple brand specific clubs around but we aren't looking for that. Just a group of like minded 'car people' to share ideas, help, stories with.
We don't want it to become a situation where it is 'Purists' vs 'Modifiers' like the brand specific clubs can sometimes evolve into. We are all enthusiasts whether we like the same thing or not.
