      Hey Optima Batteries!

Guys your red top battery I bought yesterday is killing my period correct vibe on my race car! The bright red color is just not working at all. Ive resisted buying one for years and only succumbed when I was told that in most racing sanctioning bodies a lead acid battery is required to have a sealed battery box with a vent and this is not required with a "sealed" battery like an Optima. I need a black version or even a black cover to slip over the top. There is some pretty decent rattle can plastic paints available these days so I may just paint it. I know its your signature red top, yellow top and I get that but I dont care about it. You don't necessarily need to duplicate an old square battery for me (but you could) it just needs to be black so your eye doesn't go right to it.

And this afternoon while I was working on the car my neighbor dropped by who owns the 60 Caddy in the pic and we were talking about it. Picture Thurston Howell (from Gilligans Island) He says "Yes Yes Johnathan (his son) raves about these batteries and tells me all the time I should get them for the Caddy and the Bird' (his 56 TBird) but could you imagine that thing in the Caddy!!?? (where that battery is front and center when you pop the hood) My Lord it would stick out like a sore thumb! No Sir!"

So you might score some sales with the older generations too if you offered one in black.
