      Air Pressure

Sorry guys for all the dumb questions I ask on here but this going around a corner and stopping fast is a far cry different than my drag racing,Rock Bouncing, and Restoring antique car back ground.

Ok so here we go, I tossed a set of 265/35/20 BFG rivals on the front of our C-10 for the Autocross @ the GoodGuys Columbus event in a few weeks. I know the current wheel is a little too narrow for the tire ,its only 8.5 wide,But can anyone give me a good starting point for front tire pressure?
If it helps the truck is 3220 LBS and the front is about 900LBS a corner.
I can tell with what little we have drove the truck in the last couple of days that it turns in and sticks a ton better with this tire over the old tires. I am very impressed so far.

Well obviously with a narrower wheel, the tire will balloon in the center. So start with a lower pressure, say 25-30lbs. Drive the truck. Then, check tire temps. If the center is warmer/hotter than the edge, you still have to much air. So take some out. And vice-versa, if the center is cooler than the edges.....add air.

Boys drive fast on the street. But MEN prove how fast they are at the Track.

Do NOT go below 29 lbs with the Rivals per BFG engineers, you will damage the tire if you do. I usually start out between 32-34 cold and then adjust up or down depending on the track surface. Lower the pressure to which ever end of the car needs more grip.
