      Ford 9" Gears

Will any set of Ford 9" gears fit in any Ford 9" carrier?

The 4.11's in my '68 (I purchased an assembled third member) are whining enough that they drown out the exhaust.

I was thinking about getting an OEM R&P set, but didn't want to order anything before pulling the third member if there was a chance the old school gears wouldn't work in my newer carrier.

As far as I know, all Ford 9" gears are interchangeable.

It's a pretty universal ring and pinion set. The only thing to be aware of is the spline count on the pinion shaft. You cannot buy an OEM set anymore unless you buy a used set which will take an act of god to setup without whine.

Thanks for the prompt responses. I thought they were pretty universal, but wanted to check.
