      I need a custom driveshaft

      It's finally time to install a driveshaft. I'm running an LSA motor (supercharged) with a 6L90e transmission and a Ford 9" rear end with Truetrac. I'll likely have around 700HP. What are the advantages of steel/aluminum and who should I use? I'd appreciate any tips you might have.

      1969 Camaro - LSA motor, 6L90 transmission, TCI front subframe, TCI torque arm rear suspension, Ford 9" rearend

      Steel is fine for just about anything. Aluminum is lighter but needs to be bigger than steel for the same strength which can limit exhaust clearance if it's a tight squeeze underneath.
      Chromoly is stronger than steel so it can be a smaller diameter too.

      If you do a search for "driveshaft" I suspect that you will find no shortage of opinions here.... I am leaning towards working with Mark Williams when the time comes, but I also believe Inland Empire is a sponsor here and has many good recommendations.

      Funny thing I was just thinking about driveshaft and cant seem to find that thread from a few days ago about ready available driveshaft with cv joints at each end..

      I have driveshafts from Denny's on the Chevelle and El Camino. Never had a single issue with either one.
