      1967 Chevy II Nova Radiator

I have just purchased a 67 Chevy II Nova project and I'm searching for the right radiator. The car came with a Gen I 327 SBC that I plan to run for a while with the 4 speed. Long term I am planning on a turbo 5.3 L LS with a T-56. Car will have A/C but I never foresee an automatic. I have a couple of questions:

      • Looking for a recommendation on a radiator that is:
      • Fully TIG welded, no epoxy. 100% MADE IN USA. Side tanks, no top/down. Preferably bolts in to factory position.
      • Capable of cooling 600HP with AC. Preferably 1.25" cores.
      • Hoping for something under $500
      • Preferably dual pass.
      • Will a dual pass radiator be ok with the Gen I SBC? I know most guys use the dual pass with LS series engines, but I've never really seen anyone use the dual pass with a SBC.

      Thank you in advance.

For that budget you could contact R&D Fabrication, he's on here. I'd recommend dual fans though which will push your price up toward a grand.

I have seen his name floating around. His units look like quality pieces. I have also been looking at Ron Davis, Be Cool, or finding a Griffin or Northern Performance. Any thoughts on the dual pass unit for a SBC?

with a SBC set-up, you'll be stuck with a single pass, otherwise you'll need to change inlet / outlet to the passenger side. We can build the radiator either way, though, and it is a bolt-in unit that is 100% tig welded by hand, made in the USA and we use dual 1" thick cores. Also, we're a forum sponsor here.

The discounted price for that radiator is $400, and the upgraded fan & shroud kit will be $320 after discount. Here is a link to them on our site:
