81 TA Core support bushing issues

Been freshening the 81 TA and finished the rear over the winter now on the front end. Replaced all the back 4 subframe bushings months ago while doing the subframe connectors, now on to the radiator core support ones. Old ones had collapsed and were rusty as normal. Pulled them out ,cleaned it up the frame and core support painted. Go to slide in the Global bushings and the core support hole is 1.553 old bushing 1.4950 that went in it. Global bushing step is only .993. Also the frame hole doesn't look exactly centered on the core support but is big enough the bolt can still go through. And yes all front sheet metal fits good not slid back.

I want to think I may have has this issue on the 79 Camaro when I did it but it has been a few years since I did them.

      Anyone else had this issue?

I put Global West subframe bushings (1/2" drop) on my 81 Camaro and didn't have any issues with the core support ones. But it wouldn't surprise me that Pontiac did something different.
