      TCI IFS Problem

I have a TCI IFS in my 1969 Camaro with an LSA motor and 6L90e transmission. I've adjusted coil-over springs to highest point, but car is still too low. I think I need springs with a higher spring rate. Does anyone know which coil-over springs I need for this setup? Also, how can I determine the spring rate of my current coil-overs? TCI won't answer or return my calls.

You might need a higher spring rate...BUT, no reason to change anything until the car is on its feet. If you change now you will likely just have to change again after the car is finished and has all the weight on it. If you need to simulate ride height for wheel fitment, panel alignment, etc, make some coilover simulaters from tubing or strap and bolt in there in place of the coilovers.

BTW...TCI is usually quite responsive...but if they are as busy as we are [and I happen to know they are] they may be a little backed up right now.

      Bret,
Thanks for your quick reply. Pictures are a little old and misleading, as the front suspension is now installed in the car and most of the weight is on the front suspension (note jack under front suspension to raise car to desired height). TCI sells a different spring rate for BBC and SBC setups. I ordered the SBC setup, but not sure what I received. Any way to determine if I got what I ordered and just need stiffer springs, or perhaps I received coil-overs with too low of a spring rate?
I appreciate that TCI may be busy, but I've left 3 messages over 2 weeks. That's why I'm asking these questions on the forum instead of talking to TCI. Not trying to bad mouth them, just need some help.

I am truly sorry that no one has called back yet. I will speak with our tech guy and sales manager asap about it.

We have a variety of spring rates available and would be more than happy to exchange the springs on your front clip. Drop me a PM with your contact info and we'll get it taken care of.

Just wanted everyone to know that Jason at TCI fixed me up. My mistake, I installed rear springs on front and front springs on rear, but Jason helped me figure out the problem and sent me a heavier set of springs for the front IRS. Everything looks good now! I'm much closer to putting this thing on the road.
