      coilover angles help!!

did some searching and cannot find any info. i know typically you angle the tops of the coilovers in toward the center of the car or straight up and down. would it be ok if the bottoms were toward the center of the car a small amount say 1" inward compared to the tops of the coilovers??

Ideally you want the lower attaching point if the coil over to be as close as possible to the lower ball joint, but theres no reason it wouldnt still function at almost any angle.

      coilover angles help!!

The angle doesn't matter that much, but the mounting matters- generally the frame rail is further inboard than the lower shock mount which is stronger than a random tube further outboard, generally. Not sure what your frame looks like.. Also, the shock could interfere with the upper control arm or tire depending on the relationship of the upper to the lower mount.

ok thanks. basically whats going on is the car used to have a ladder bar/coilover setup and im moving to a self engineered 4 link / panhard/ coilover setup. the axle mounts for the coilovers and 4 link are inward about 1 inch from what the ladder bar mounts used to be and i was hoping to not have to move the upper coilover mounts. next just gotta figure out my panhard placement and ill almost be back on the road

the angle only effects the spring rate needed, the more angle you have the higher rate you will need. AFCO has a chart on their web-sight.

Since you are Fabbing up the System, can you Make new mounts?
