allright guys, I got my 31 spline "cut to your own length" axles with screw in 1/2 studs. Pressed the bearings on the axles and modded the 5x4.5 disc rotors to fit on the 5x4.75 gm stud pattern... we'll see how those brakes do on the road but can't beat $170 for the rear disc setup...

Shortened the 9 inch to the specs of a 64-66 chevelle rear with the mounts of the 68-72 chevelles so i can fit the rear tires better. so far just tacked the the mounts on. Need a better welder... whats good for this kinda thing, gas or arc?

If axle tubes are Steel I would say MIG or TIG with gas is better but arc should be fine, if Nodular Cast Iron then TIG or MIG with nickel wire or rods & pure argon. Not a pro so maybe other POV should come...

Finaly got my hands on a decent 170 amp welder, and just welded all the brackets together myself. Got the disc brakes modifyed to fit the old large bearing housing ends. The kit from ford racing was for the new style "torino" housing ends, so i had to open the holes up some to fit the 1/2 inch T bolts and pattern from the f100 truck bearing ends. the install itself was pretty simple.

Also got the center chunk prepped, ordered arp 5/8 socket headed bolts for the ring gear and installed the 4 pin clutch type posi, trac loc or whatever the ford guys call it.

Umi springs and control arms planned for the front too. Just gotta scrape up the cash, they arent exactly cheap.

Got the front springs and sway bar swapped. Still working on the sway bar video, but the spring swap video is up.
