      Type 2 pump reservoir removal

A couple spring clips need to be removed then it'll come off with a good pull

I tried tapping the return side of my Type II pump and couldn't get my tap in deep enough with the way it was made. I'm thinking of buying the DSE pump now that's already tapped with fittings.
      Big dreams, small pockets....

Yep, reservoir removal is the easy part. Leave it together and sell it as a package, buy a new pump already set up for remote reservoir.

Why go remote? I've done it both ways and prefer an integral reservoir.

the main reason thinking about upgrade is having trouble with fluid spewing out of vent in the cap at the top when running high rpm for long periods of time...the fluid level is correct and im using Joe Gibbs Racing Power Steering fluid....not having any power steering fade when hot....either need remote reservoir or a cooler made the fluid still getting too hot....I have heard problems with the 600 steering box with recirculating valve causing overheating problems
