      6.0L LQ9 Build options

So I finally found an engine for my car that should suit what I am hoping for. Since it is the early stages of development, what would you do to the motor? I am looking to make a driver with about 600-650 horsepower. the goal is reliability with plenty of power. Keeping a working man's budget in mind, what would you do to the motor to get to the end goal?

Getting there without some sort of forced induction would be a tall task. If you want to stay n/a, you should be able to crack 500hp somewhat easily with a good cam, tune, and a l76/l92 setup.

You'll need higher compression and a pretty aggressive cam to hit 600, and ported heads beyond that.

Forced induction isnt off the table. I am open to a turbo or supercharger.

L92 with an LSA blower (ported snout), LS9 Cam/ headgaskets and good some headers should be close. Probably going to have to overdrive the blower a bit. I'd guess this to be $10k with you doing all the work except the dyno tune, not sure if that's "budget" or not but relaible and 600hp is goign to cost ya.

I made 640hp to the crank with 410ci iron block ls with l92 heads and a carb. It took a fairly decent size cam but i drove it on the street 4 days a week to and from work with a th400. I have parts of this engine for sale because I am going a different route with it. PM me if you are interested or want to know more about the combo.
