How to care for a ls on engine stand?

Okay so I have my l92 up on the engine stand slowly getting everything I need to put it in my car now there is oil in it right now should I keep it oiled up or drain it or just drain it's old oil and put in fresh oil it's going to sit on the stand for a while since we all know how long it takes to get our projects done I want to know what would be the best way to care for it thanks
