      Radio Shop Owner Goes Nuts

      Hi Everyone,

As most of you know I have my radio shop for classic cars. While there are alot of Radio restoration shops around, there were only 2 companies building Digital Conversion radios for classic cars. My Shop and Fred Cranshaw at www.antiqueautoradio.com . Fred and I didnt get along and had been competing for about 10 years now. After battling for a little while on ebay a coupel weeks ago, his website disappeared and he disappeared from Ebay. I thought maybe vacation or computer problems or????

I decided yesterday when I couldnt pull up his site that I would go looking for other links to it to see if they worked. I typed Fred Cranshaw into www.dogpile.com and found a ton of news articles. Apparently Fred went nuts, shot and killed 4 people, had a 9 hour standoff with police and then shot himself in the head.

I thought the name was just a coincidence so I kept looking around and found out it actually was him. This COMPLETELY SHOCKED ME!!!! I just simply couldnt believe that this guy whom I had been competing with all these years cracked like that. Makes you kind of think...

      COMPLETELY UNBELIEVABLE!

Shees! That may have been a close one! Luckily he did not target you as well, at least he never got to you... (who knows maybe he did have you in mind). What a shame he did not get some type of help before it came to this, and since it did come to this it's too bad he had to take so many others with him and not just himself! Scary!

something similar to that happened to a guy i know and basically worked with. sometimes people just snap and go off the deep end for whatever reason. its a very weird feeling when i found out what happened, at least for me it was.

It really hit me cuz I had been poking at him pretty hard on ebay lately. My wife said the same thing... Im lucky he didnt come after me. Im sorry for the innocent people he went after.

Kevin-You're too funny... But a lathe..Hmmmmmmmm. J/k. I do appreciate your patience on it taking so long.

I have lots of pictures of Kevins radio, but I'll let him do the unveiling when we finish up the last detail. we are working on.
