      Project 1978 to 1970 + Detroit Speed

      Alright gents,

I bought a 1970 Camaro this weekend. I looked hard and heavy locally for a car that wasnt rusted out. This was quite more challenging than I thought it would it considering where I live. I found basket cases, rusted quarters, rusted fenders, silicones floor boards...you name it. Get this...these are $10k+ cars.

I picked up the nice origonal blue on blue base model, rot free and floors near perfect. The undercarriage is the cleanest I have seen. The plan is to swap alot of my parts from the 78 to this, but this car will also become "DSE equipped"

      1970 Camaro/DSE build

Are you driver enough? Maybe....come on blue!

Not a ton of progress on this one guys. I bought a TON of DSE parts over the last few months to include the Frame, Quadra-link and a T56 Magnum (I'm now broke)! I had Rob Phillips install the SFCs and I installed a nifty spoiler along with better bullet mirrors. When I get back home, should be game on!

They are the Corbeau LG1 with their seat tracks. I'm a pretty short guy (5'8") and there's plenty. When I return from my "trip" I will measure for you. I have a headliner in it now.

Looking forward to seeing your progress. We're putting a QuadraLink in my 2nd Gen TA right now. It is a little more involved that I initially thought but is getting close to being done.

Well, time has been passing too quickly and I haven't done a whole lot over the past months. This weekend I plan to pull the stock subframe and clean up the bay! But this is all DSE!!

I was also able to verify that the hidden partial vin matches the vin lol

It has started....one bite at a time on this elephant. Still waiting on a couple parts, but perfect time to clean up a little

I have an LS6 engine from 2004 with H/C/I plus other subtle mods. Dynoed at 460 to the tires. I'm now running a McLeod RXT twin with their specific flywheel.
