      QA1 T-Bar on Ridetech?

Does anybody know if the QA1 BAR500K Trunion/t-bar fit on the ridetech shocks? Or does ridetech make a 5" Trunion/t-bar? Thanks

Well, that depends. . .our coil overs typically use a Teflon lined bearing that has an ID of 0.625. We have trunnions to fit the 5/8" bearing, but you cannot go 5" wide, or it will bend.
So in a few applications we use a 0.75" ID poly bushing and hold the trunnion in with snap rings. The distance between the snap rings is 1.33" (IIRC).

If you are looking at the smooth body shocks (OE replacemnt style), we use an hourglass poly bushing. I cannot for the life of me remember the ID of the smooth body bushing. . .I'll have to look on Monday.

If this is for the GMC truck in the other post you likely have a "strut" up front (I HATE that they call this a strut. . .it's a coil over!).
In this case we'll have to see what we can do as we don't have a bolt in solution for a new truck that's lowered.

We just finished a coil over front, leaf spring rear, fitment for a lifted 2014 Silverado, so there are some parts there that may be of use.

Give me some more info and I'll track it all down for you.
      What shocks do you want?
      What exactly is the application?

Yes sir I have the Trunion with the poly bushing and held with snap rings.

I plan on using a coilover to replace the factory strut I will build a bracket to go in the factory top mount and use the Trunion to bolt under the factory LCA.

I will do a side by side by side test with QA1, Vi-king and ridetech ( coilovers in the front and shocks in the back ) before I tear the truck apart this summer. I'm sure ill have a million questions when im doing the test. Thanks for the help.

Here's what we used on the lifted truck:

Depending on distance between the upper and lower mounts I don't see why we couldn't make a coil over work.
-use one of our standard coil overs with eyelets on both ends
-make an upper mount plate that bolts into the OE upper mount
-weld on a shock bracket (like this one: http://www.ridetech.com/store/univer...k-bracket.html), using our standard 1.25" wide spacers and 5/8" ID bearing on the top.
-use the existing trunnion on the bottom (so long as the OD is 0.75"), and put it in the lower coil over eye with our bushings. (you'll have to make sure the current trunnion has 1.33" or more between the snap rings. If not, you'll have to add new snap ring grooves).

So I guess at this point I need to know the distance between the two front mounts at ride height.
I can then figure out what coil over will fit in there.

      Thanks for all the help
That's the idea i have about the top, im going to make a bracket to mount into the factory stock location. I'm out the Country for work but should be back in a week. Once I'm back i will start measuring a building brackets. I will get all info you need to get this done.

I made a wood mockup to give to the welder. Once i get it back and try it out ill bring it to the machine shop and have it cut on the waterjet.
