      shock mounting?

I was looking at shocks online and they say either poly bushing or bearing style mounting. Whats the differents and can someone post a pic of the two. Thanks

Polyurethane is a 'bushing' material, similar to a shock rubber bushing but poly is stiffer. Bearing is more like a rod end, metal on metal instead of something to dampen vibrations. Bearings will provide better control of the wheel but of course transmit more noise/vibration/harshness to the car

personally, use the bearing mount if you can, the shock dampens any harshness of the bearing (thats the shocks job) and the shock movement is truer, not any extra deflection coming from softer bushings(rubber or poly) also there is so little movement at the mounting location of the shock that any extra movement even just an 1/8 of an inch in a softer bushings(rubber or poly) will be multiplied by the distance of the arms length and could add up to an 1/2 of uncontrolled deflection forced into different directions from the race surface

Would you have pics of different styles? Thanks

Bearing eyes are typically used in shocks that are going into a race-type application where you want feedback and precision. Bushings are used in applicationss where noise is more of a concern.

To get an idea of how many different types of shocks mounts are out there, check out our custom shock guide by clicking the cover below.

It is hard to see in your pictures what you have there. I am having a hard time finding some pics of the different ends. You should not notice a huge difference between the two when driving
