      67 firebird fuel filler relocation

A while back I welded in part of a tail panel section from a 67 camaro in my firebird to get rid of the stock fuel door. I was happy with the way it turned out but long story short I found some more issues with the car and ended up replacing both quarters and the tail panel so now I am back to the stock firebird tail panel and fuel door. I am wondering if it's possible to put a hinge system on the license plate and put the fuel filler behind it? The main thing I was worried about is if this will be too low. I have my fuel tank I can dig out and mock it up but just wanted to see if anyone has done this.

Cool, thanks! Nice work, now that I see that link I remember looking at it before but had forgot about the fuel filler mod. I just modified my rear bumper, I almost went with the camaro bumper but already had a new aftermarket firebird bumper so I shortened it and modified the brackets to it sits close to the body, also welded up the bumper bolt holes and bumper jack slots.

BTW have any updated pics of your car?
