      Where do I put lights

As many on here has done in the past, I am putting 5" AutoMeter gauges in my stock dash. (tach and speedo) Now I need an idea as to where to put the turn signal indicators. My son thought it would be cool to take the tach and speedometer apart and put the lights in them, which would be nice, I just don't want to go into the gauges. Any ideas?

I used to have a setup like that and put small green 1/4" LEDs in the bezel at the 12 o'clock position (when looking at the gauges). I bought the LEDs at radio shack, look for "built in resistor" ones, connect the factory wires (light blue, dark blue- forget which side is which) and ground the other. Works like a champ! This is what they look like- https://detroitspeed.com/Electrical/120901-leds.html

Thanks for the suggestion. I have the led's, just trying to figure out where to mount them. I like my son's idea, but hate to dig into the gauges themselves.

The turn signals in my car are on the sides of the steering column. You can see them in my video here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8amQ2-zBWRE

Does autometer's custom she allow you to order gauges with turn signals in them already?

You are right to jot want to get inside the gauges. I tore mine apart (years ago) to fit them into my dash with the original cluster. I K Ew from the get go that I wouldn't be using the supplied bezel and bodies, I just needed the guts. Without special tools, I don't know how you could out it back together and have it look even remotely nice. They just aren't designed to be disassembled.

I don't believe Auto Meter offers a gauge with turn signals already in them.

I know this is an old thread, but I put my turn signals in the gauge pod, about 2" from the guage at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions. I also put a red led at the top of each, one for check engine the other for ???.

Here is sort of what I did, from a google image search, linking back here ;)
