Mcleod's 70 cuda project

[bonesfab]

The headers are being made as I post. They will end up putting one of their 5-speeds behind when they are done with them. That is the point of the removable tunnel.. To show it off.. The coating is called "Raptor". It is a bedliner type material that is tintable.. I notice your sig says your other car is a Vega.. We are finishing one of those for sema too..

[Peter Mc Mahon]

What is the colour, brand and paint code for the Vega interior? Looks like nascar stuff, I like!

[bonesfab]

I call glossy primer, I would have to get the color from the customer.. He picked it out.. Jim

[bonesfab]

A little more progress.. Engine and accessories are all mocked up. Cut the hood open to make it clear everything. Made the inner fender wells clear. Headers are done.. A long way to go and a short time to get there..

[67goatman455]

NOW your messing with the hood? haha back-assward's but it works! lookin good!

[bonesfab]

When it takes 8 months to get the engine, things get done in a little different order.. I had the paint shop do everything but the hood and engine compartment..

[bonesfab]

Going together for the final time hopefully.. Painted and powdercoated parts and a whole box of shiny ARP stainless hardware..

[bonesfab]

More progress.. Getting some of the interior panels back from the upholster. Hope fully have it running over the weekend.. Three weeks to go..

[LS7 Z/28]

Glad to see it's almost done. This is one of my favorite builds on this site. There aren't enough cool Mopars. Good luck in the next three weeks.

Wow, that is a fantastic build...

[driveit]

Love it.

[Nicks67GTO]

This car is awesome. Its one of my favorite builds ever.

So did McLeod scrap their new 5 speed design or are they just taking their sweet time? Iv'e been hearing about it for years and nothing ever seems to come of it.

Mcleod is releasing the gm version of the 5-speed at Sema. According to the owner, they have all the parts for them finally.. so I am told.. Thank you all for the kind words..

Sweet!

So I see a 66' GTO in the background of one of the recent pics....whats going on with that?

It is a tri-power 4-speed car we did a frame off on.. A few upgrades but mainly just a nice driver.. Jim

[bonesfab]

More progress on the Cuda.. It will hopefully make noise on Monday.. And a few pics of the other sema project we are doing.. A 1972 vega with a Mast Motorsports 440 lsx..

[bonesfab]

It is alive and pissed off.. Wow.. Might be a little much for a "street" car... Got the windshield in and trim around it. It should move under its own power today.. Won't let me post a video.. pics later

[bonesfab]

Outside under its own power today.. Oh My... Pics aren't the best.. they are from my phone.. Jim

[Motown 454]

Awesome car!

[71duster]

That is an awesome build! Great job on the hood also. I wish I were going to SELMA again this year to see it!
